From 2001, I have experimented with site responsive works, experimenting with moving amidst a diverse range of natural and manmade locations – video diaries of my inner landscapes amongst the given realities.
Own projects:
Over the last 22 years I have experimented with site responsive movement in many parts of the world. Recording and sharing my findings. I have developed a movement language that holds space for an emotive or mental recognition, I make use of task based improvisations to gather and digest human theme. Choreographically my work aims to resonate on a collective level, playing with and familiar and personal portraits. Tools of meditation so to expand awareness are a big part of the process, acknowledging the supportive space required to create and go into the unknown or new perspective.
Cofounder of Blipcollective ( since 2011), a community for contemporary dance and transformation arts based in Austria. A space for research and exchange.
I curate and teach residencies for international dance artists. These themed residencies provide opportunities for defining a well rounded approach to the creative process. Investigating playfully our personal and collective boundaries, challenges and curiosities.
Outreach workshops and performances are generated and shared within our local community, as well as performance collaborations and dance works delivered in Austria.
Teaching sessions:
This summer I returned to teach within the professional training programme at Dance city Newcastle.
Led workshop within Vienna based “Tanz die Tolerance” – leading contemporary and theatre sessions for adults.
As of 2017, I work with independently run “ Bewegung des Leben”, a small group which leads movement sessions for people living with dementia, in Donauhospital , Vienna.
Over the years, I have devised and lead intensive and regular classes to professional artists, adults and children. These movement and improvise based trainings, have been received throughout London – in formal dance venues as well as independently ran underground spaces. Within my travels, I led a dance programme for street children in India, and shared my movement findings within international festivals, and community driven events.
